MASK — Mothers Awareness on School-age Kids — is hosting its next quarterly Unity Community “empower lunch hour” at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 17007 N. Scottsdale Road, in Scottsdale on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
The public is invited to join the nonprofit organization for delicious food and great conversation. Guest speaker is Dr. Ravi Chandiramani, medical director at Sundance Center, a luxurious private drug and alcohol treatment center in Scottsdale.
The event takes place 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Dr. Chandiramani’s unique approach to treating chemical dependency and co-occurring psychological disorders has been refined over a decade of direct clinical experience with recovering addicts and alcoholics.
Dr. Chandiramani’s work has provided the foundation for a new field of medicine, Integrative Addiction Medicine. IAM effectively combines evidence-based addiction medicine protocols with the nurturing and rebuilding modalities inherent with the practice of naturopathic medicine.
Over 5,000 chemically dependent patients have been successfully treated using the IAM model.
Dr. Chandiramani will be speaking about the “Oxycodone Trap – a Prescription for Addiction.”
