The Kiwanis Club of Carefree wraps up its 2015 concert series in March with a program featuring ‘Todd Oliver & Friends,” and the stage comedy, “Assisted Living: The Musical.”
Both programs are held at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion at the Carefree Town Center.
“Todd Oliver & Friends” perform 6 p.m. March 7.
Todd Oliver grew up loving dogs, ventriloquism and rock ‘n roll. So what better than to combine them all, backed by The Smiling Eyes band, in “the feel-good show of the year.”
Todd Oliver and Friends – the “Friends” are dogs Irving and Lucy – have appeared on “Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” and “The Today Show.” If you’ve ever wondered how a dog looks at life, Todd Oliver & Friends in “A Unique Ventriloquist” on Saturday, March 7, gives it to you straight from the dog’s mouth.
“Assisted Living, The Musical” will be staged 6 p.m. Saturday, March 28 and is for everyone growing older … or thinking of doing so.
“Wickedly funny!” proclaimed the San Francisco Examiner. You’ll see your parents, your friends, and maybe some of yourself in the hilarious 75-minute vaudeville-style revue by Rick Compton and Betsy Bennett.
Eighteen different characters sing, dance, celebrate and “bloviate” the best years of their lives at Pelican Roost, an active senior living community peopled by numerous eccentric residents. Two accomplished actors play all 18 roles, accompanied by a pianist.
Individual Show Tickets are $30. For information or tickets call 480-488-7169 or visit www.kiwaniscarefree.org.
