Mothers Awareness on School-age Kids — also known as MASK — has announced its ninth annual MASKer Aide Ball fundraiser which will be held at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess on Saturday, Oct. 9.
Guests will feel as if they have been transported to the canals of Venice, Italy, in this year’s “Venetian” themed ball, according to a press release.
“The theme of the ball changes each year,” said Kimberly Cabral, Founder and CEO of MASK, in the release. “And our event partner, The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, known for creating an enchanting winter wonderland for its ‘Christmas at the Princess,’ will no doubt create an Italian masterpiece. From the decor to the food, this year’s ball will be yet another visually exciting and memorable evening.”
The festive, black-tie affair will include an exquisite culinary experience enticing the eyes as well as the most sophisticated palate.
“When I began drawing inspiration for this Venetian-themed dinner, I immediately thought of a quote from Shakespeare: ‘If music be the food of love, play on,’” said Executive Chef David Morris, in the release. “For this dinner, I will focus on the regional cuisine of Italy that would express our love of food and culture through a restaurant-style experience in a five-diamond banquet setting.”
Entertainment will be provided by the “high energy, make-you-want-to-dance” nine-piece JJ’s Band, the release stated. As part of the evening’s festivities, MASK will honor mothers, fathers, individuals and organizations that exemplify the spirit and mission of mask.
“Our 2016 award recipients are more than deserving,” said Ms. Cabral in the release. “All of our honorees have dedicated endless time, talent and passion to expand the MASK mission. With their support and the support of many others, MASK can continue to engage, educate and empower thousands of families through our quarterly publication and the MASK E3 Institute.”
