Scottsdale Quarter will usher in the holiday season with The Santa Social, the center’s highly-anticipated annual event, on Saturday, Nov. 26, beginning at noon, in The Quad.
The popular event, now in its fifth year, will feature a day of festive, family-friendly activities, including photos with the jolly man in red, live entertainment, a tree lighting ceremony and a movie under the stars, according to a press release.
“We’re excited to herald the season with The Santa Social, which has gained the reputation as the most festive holiday event in the Valley,” said Alison Goodman, marketing director at Scottsdale Quarter, in the release.
“The Santa Social has become a tradition for families who flock to the center to officially kick-off the season of giving with a day of fun, while taking advantage of the great shopping and dining options at Scottsdale Quarter.”
Festivities will kick-off at noon with the arrival of Santa, who will be available until 6 p.m. for complimentary photos for the entire family, including beloved pets. Attendees will enjoy festive holiday music throughout the day, including a special performance by the Pete Pancrazi Jazz Trio from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Arizona Animal Welfare League will also be on-site with dogs and puppies available for adoption from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The celebration will culminate with the ceremonial lighting of the center’s three story tree at 6 p.m. This symbolic occasion will be followed by a movie under the stars. Families are invited to lay out blankets, grab a snack from one of Scottsdale Quarter’s eateries and settle in for a showing of Home Alone, which begins at 6:30 p.m.
Scottsdale Quarter will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. so visitors can take advantage of Black Friday weekend offers at the center’s celebrated retailers, the release stated.
The Santa Social is free and open to the public.
