Wonderspaces has announced it will partner with artists from around the world to present a series of ticketed art shows in a 16,000-square-foot space at Scottsdale Fashion Square.

It will be the company’s first permanent location, according to a release.

As a pop-up that debuted in San Diego in 2017, Wonderspaces shows drew more than 60,000 visitors in 2017 and more than 100,000 in 2018, the release stated, adding Wonderspaces plans to present three shows a year at Scottsdale Fashion Square, 7014 E. Camelback, starting in early 2019.

“The first permanent location for Wonderspaces, with its dynamic roster of curated art installations, is a strong fit for Scottsdale Fashion Square and for Macerich,” said Doug Healey, executive vice president, leasing, for Macerich, owners, operators and developers of retail properties.

“The high-caliber artists and the exceptional setting Wonderspaces is creating to showcase their exciting work will come together as a powerful draw for this sophisticated region and for visitors from around the world.”

Wonderspaces president and co-founder Jason Shin stated: “Scottsdale Fashion Square offers a unique opportunity to make the extraordinary artwork of our partner artists accessible to metro Phoenix. Through our shows, we aim to create a space where people can connect with art and with each other.”
