‘Botox for Backpacks’ school drive in progress at Scottsdale spa

Drop off a backpack filled with school supplies at Pearl MedSpa, 7144 E. Stetson Drive, in Scottsdale and be rewarded with a complimentary beauty package that includes 10 units of Botox and a designer peel, valued at $349.

The Botox for Backpacks drive culminates on June 29 and 30 with two full days of prizes and giveaways to celebrate reaching the goal of providing 500 underprivileged kids with backpacks filled with back to school essentials.

“We’ve already collected several hundred backpacks filled to the brim with school supplies, and with a little over a week left we need more help to exceed our goal of 500 backpacks,” stated Jordan Ruemler, partner for Pearl MedSpa, in a press release. “We are committed to giving these kids the essential tools they need to start the school year on the right foot.”

The requested list of school supplies to be included in each backpack includes the following items: three-dozen No. 2 pencils, Pearl Pink brand erasers, a glue stick, facial tissue, a notebook and a folder, according to the release.

The drive will be ongoing until July 31. According to the release, the backpacks will be distributed to students in early August in several low-income districts across the Phoenix-metro area.
