Located above the southwest corner of 3rd Avenue and Scottsdale Road, the Second Story Liquor Bar will hold its second Annual Derby Day Celebration: Bourbon and Bubbles on Saturday, May, from noon until the race ends.

Festivities include a brunch, a Best Hat Contest, and a “Win, Place and Show Board” with over a thousand dollars in prizes, including black-car ride services, gift certificates, bourbon and champagne bottles and many other exciting prizes.

In true Kentucky Derby fashion, cigar smoking will be welcomed on the patio. Large hats for the ladies and bow ties for the gentlemen are highly encouraged.

Tickets are $20 and include a champagne toast.

Three years in the making the Second Story Liquor Bar, dubbed “SSLB”, opened in March 2014. SSLB prides itself on its ability to pair storytelling with robust flavors and fresh ingredients alongside fine spirits and savory cocktails.

Executive Chef Josh Bracher is serving an exquisite menu to tie in the Derby traditions.

The Second Story Liquor Bar is located at 4166 N. Scottsdale Road, second story (above The Gelato Spot).
