Families invited to Hubbard Sports Camp open houses


Hubbard Sports Camp will host informative open houses at their five summer day camp locations on Sunday, May 15, including the Thunderbird Academy in Scottsdale.

These open houses will give parents and children an opportunity to meet the camp staff, tour the facilities, ask questions, and learn all about the summer day camp program, according to a press release.

Hubbard Sports Camp will be offered at the following five locations this summer: New Way Academy in Phoenix; Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix; Paradise Valley Christian in Phoenix; St. Simon and Jude Catholic School in Phoenix; Thunderbird Academy in Scottsdale. Camp will be offered May 31 through Aug. 5.

Hubbard Sports Camp is for children ages 4 and a half to 13. It is a co-ed, multi-sport summer camp that teaches soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, archery, swimming and many other fun, indoor and outdoor games and activities. There are half-days and full-days available. There is also extended care and sibling discounts, the release stated. Camp dates vary by location.

The open house events will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the following four camp locations:

  • New Way Academy, 5048 E. Oak St. in Phoenix;
  • Sunnyslope High School, 35 W. Dunlap Ave. in Phoenix;
  • Paradise Valley Christian, 11875 N. 24th St. in Phoenix;
  • Thunderbird Academy, 7410 E. Sutton Dr. in Scottsdale.

There will also be an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. at St. Simon and Jude Catholic School, 6351 N. 27th Ave.in Phoenix
