Jabz Boxing is hosting a class in Scottsdale to help raise funds for Heart Effect, an organization that funds programs and research for the Phoenix children’s Heart Center and Cardiac 3D Print Lab.

The Jabz Boxing’s Scottsdale-Thunderbird location, 13610 N. Scottsdale Road, is hosting a class at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 3. There will also be a class at the same time but at the Via Linda location, 8989 E. Via Linda.

There are also many other classes across the Valley at different times and days.

The classes are open to all women and girls who “want to join in the fight to help children with Congenital Heart Defects,” according to a press release.

According to the CDC, Congenital Heart Defects affect roughly 40,000 births per year in the U.S., costing $6.1 billion in hospital bills as of 2013. Critical Congenital Heart Defect-associated hospitalizations have remained among the most expensive among the heart defects category.

As Jabz Boxing continues to live out its mission of helping women reach fitness goals, the brand is joining Heart Effect in the fight to give children the chance to have a healthy heart.
