Orion adds retail real estate veteran to roster

Orion Investment Real Estate has announced that Tim Gunnink has joined the firm as senior vice president specializing in retail and land investment sales.

Mr. Gunnink, one of the top retail real estate professionals in the Phoenix market, will be leveraging his vast experience to help buyers and sellers of shopping centers and retail land accomplish their goals, according to a press release.

His background includes an intimate knowledge of retail real estate development, leasing and sales, working through all phases of numerous ground-up projects – from the initial site selection to the divestiture of the asset.

One of the greatest benefits he provides to his clients is his depth of knowledge and experience in nearly all facets of retail real estate. He is known throughout the industry for his ability to find opportunity where others see challenges.

In 2009, he formed GDC/RE, a retail real estate services firm dedicated to the success of its clients, specializing in project leasing and investment sales in Arizona, tenant representation throughout the Western U.S., and outsourced real estate and advisory services for retailers and retail property owners nationally.

As president and CEO, he directed the day-to-day operations and oversaw a team of 20 agents and staff with offices in Phoenix and Las Vegas. GDC/RE was acquired by Newmark Grubb Knight Frank in 2014.

Mr. Gunnink was attracted to Orion Investment Real Estate because of their long-standing position as a market leader, track record, and reputation within the brokerage and investment community, stated the release.
