R Entertainment hires new director of operations

R Entertainment of Scottsdale — a special event, business development and concert entertainment company with projects nationwide — has enlisted entertainment industry veteran Alycia Klein to serve as director of operations.

Alycia Klein

Ms. Klein started in the industry at the age of 17, as a box office ticket seller at Celebrity Theatre. The quick study’s diligence led her on a steady ascent in her career: box office manager, office manager, controller, talent buyer and general manager.

Ms. Klein’s trademark is her thorough attention to details in a colorful creative industry, a press release states.

“There is only one way and it’s the right way,” she said in a prepared statement.

“I’m excited to learn the bigger part of the business on a national level, which is where R Entertainment continues to focus. I’m interested in participating and growing with the company’s major event portfolio as well as the concert business that I know so well.”

Scottsdale-based R Entertainment has a robust portfolio of lifestyle and concert events and multi-day festivals with strategic partners across the country.

Events include, for example, the 10-city Martha Stewart Wine and Food Experience culinary event series; a national taco tour; a children’s festival series in conjunction with public television stations throughout the country; and The Good Life Festival concert and lifestyle series with Shea Homes.

The Phoenix native says she’s also eager to work with her former colleague, R Entertainment partner and cofounder Reed Glick who was talent buyer at Celebrity Theatre for seven years.

“I’ve known Alycia for decades and was excited to have the opportunity to ask her to join us,” Mr. Glick said in a prepared statement. “I look forward to joining forces with her once again. She is talented and diligent and we’re happy to have her on the team.”

Kerry Dunne, partner and cofounder of R Entertainment, said Ms. Klein is a “prized veteran” in the industry who has a solid track record.

“We’re pleased to have her steady hand as we navigate a busy 2019, growing our event content to venues across the country,” Mr. Dunne said in a prepared statement.

Ms. Klein lives in Phoenix with her 11-year-old daughter, Ava, and her wire fox terrier, Einstein. The avid sports fan enjoys season tickets to the Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Mercury and attends many Phoenix Suns games.
