The reimagined Cultured Pearl Restaurant opens in Scottsdale

One of Scottsdale’s favorite sushi hot spots has reopened with a completely new vibe that is sure to impress.

Valley restaurateurs, Tammy and James Carlin, have created an innovative concept that blurs the lines between restaurant, sushi bar, and lounge.

The culinary couple behind such concepts as The Cajun House, the Velvet Room, Blue Wasabi, and the original Pearl Sushi Lounge are hoping to take the dining experience in downtown Scottsdale to another level with a unique destination that they describe as hip, entertaining, and delicious.

Fifteen months ago, the Carlins decided to close The Pearl Sushi Lounge & Bomber Bar, and completely remodel the space creating the Cultured Pearl Restaurant and Social Club.

“After an extensive remodel, what has risen from the rubble is a concept that we are extremely excited to launch” said Tammy Carlin.

“It is our intention to provide diners with an experience that indulges all five senses by creating an extraordinary environment of sight and sound that provides a feast not only for your appetite, but for the eyes and ears as well.”

Based in the heart of Scottsdale, the new restaurant has tripled in size, after taking over the now defunct nightclub known as Cream Stereo Lounge.

The completely redesigned 6,000 square-foot space has officially reopened its doors.

Social club memberships will also be offered, giving members a variety of special benefits including access to the loft, complimentary valet, special discounts on dining and member only promotions, and special events throughout the year.

The hospitality visionaries behind The Cultured Pearl partnered up with Executive Chef Vincent Contreras to create an entirely new menu that uses fresh, local ingredients in approachable, modern, and seasonally influenced dishes.

The Asian-accented, contemporary American cuisine features a menu that will change by season with mainstays that include beef short ribs with a BBQ hoisin glaze, pan seared salmon with a lobster potato puree and Chilean sea bass with rock shrimp risotto.

An extensive list of Pearl’s classic signature sushi rolls and a bar menu featuring unique share plates complement the new menu and are perfect for grazing and late night dining.

The Cultured Pearl’s beverage program includes craft beer on tap, wine, sake, and a collection of innovative craft cocktails like the Sriracha Lemon Drop and the Shiso Avocado Margarita.
