The employees of International Cruise & Excursions, Inc., a global travel and leisure organization headquartered in Scottsdale, donated a record breaking amount of school supplies to A New Leaf charity.

On Aug. 4, the company’s annual Operation: Fill – A- Backpack campaign surpassed their 550 filled backpack record set last year, to provide over 600 homeless children with school supplies.

The children live in A New Leaf’s three Valley emergency crisis shelters, according ot a press release.

“It is amazing to see what happens when people work together to make a difference,” said Chris Cole, International Cruise & Excursions’ vice president of memberships, in the release. “The benevolent energy in our offices is overwhelming and the fun and friendly competition it creates between our teams to see who can donate the most is contagious.”

Founded in 1971, A New Leaf provides a broad spectrum of support services to help individuals and families in crisis. For more information visit www.turnanewleaf.org.
