Tiki-themed Drunk Munk slated for grand opening

Scottsdale’s newest restaurant, Drunk Munk, has announced its official grand opening will run from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday, March 28.

The tiki bar and restaurant is in the building formerly occupied for 21 years by Cowboy Ciao at 7133 E. Stetson Drive. The tiki-themed restaurant blends old and new with a mid-century modern twist, according to a press release.

Drunk Munk will donate a portion of proceeds to Phoenix Children’s Hospital from open to close. There will be food and drink specials throughout the night.

The 4,600 square-foot restaurant will include the idol of worship from former Old Town Scottsdale restaurant and bar Drift Lounge. Drunk Munk will have a patio on the corner of Stetson Drive and 6th Avenue that will seat 50. The main dining area will accommodate up to 150 guests.

Owners include Greg Donnally, formerly of Drift Lounge, along with co-owners Andrew Nam and Scott Hane (of Geisha A Go Go).

The restaurant will feature flaming pu pu platters, Tomahawk ribeye steak, signature sushi rolls, Asian-inspired small plates, sandwiches and salads.

Happy hour will be offered daily and brunch will be served on the weekends with red velvet waffles, unique spins on eggs benedict and Bloody Marys.
