VIG Restaurants give back to local community

The VIG Restaurants, which includes two restaurants in Scottsdale, has donated funds throughout 2018 in support of local charities, schools and other organizations.

Every month, the VIG Restaurants’ present a “Community Handle” with a corresponding brewery to offer support to local organizations with a percentage of sales being donated to the charity, according to a press release.

Some of the year’s most successful handles included a donation of $6,778 during the month of October in conjunction with Mother Road Brewing Company and Tower Station IPA in encouragement to Chrysalis, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals.

During the month of February, the restaurant donated $5,834 with McFate Brewing Company and Fateful IPA to Arizona’s Women Education and Employment and $5,692 in August to Smile Train, an international children’s charity dedicated to solving cleft lip and palate amongst children, with Helton Brewing Company and Northeast IPA.

The total amount donated to local charities in 2018 through monthly community handles was $56,964, a release states.

During the month of September, The VIG Gives program had a contest for local schools that gave a local winner (Copper Ridge School) $374.48 and $500 in gift cards.

Other school sponsorship donations totaled $5,675 throughout the year while various gift card donations were offered to charities for fundraisers and galas totaled $9,070.

Genuine Concepts, LLC also gave $73,839 during the year of 2018 to deserving organizations and schools.
