Cactus Shadows senior earns U of A Baird Scholarship

Nicole Toomey, a senior at Cactus Shadows High School, is the recipient of the University of Arizona – Honors College Baird Scholarship.

The Baird Foundation offers four-year scholarships to 10 graduating high school students every year. Nicole will join the other 30 Baird Scholars at the University of Arizona and the Honors College.

The award is specific to the Honors College and the University of Arizona.
Students who are selected as Baird Scholars receive a $12,500 scholarship that is renewable for four years. Nicole will need to take 30 University of Arizona units per academic year and maintain a 3.20 cumulative GPA in order to be eligible for renewal.

Cactus Shadows High School is located in the Cave Creek Unified School District.
