Catherine Cisar named principal of nonprofit ACCEL school

ACCEL, a private, nonprofit school for children with special needs, has hired Dr. Catherine Cisar as principal.

In her role, Dr. Cisar will provide day-to-day leadership, support and training for teachers and staff, curriculum design and implementation as well as administrative management at ACCEL’s East Campus in Tempe, according to a press release.

Dr. Cisar earned her bachelor of science degree in special education from Western Illinois University and her Masters of Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix.

In 2004, she earned a doctorate from Loyola University of Chicago in curriculum and instruction. She has more than 15 years’ experience in the education field.

“Dr. Cisar’s extensive credentials and wealth of knowledge and experience in special education makes her the ideal candidate for this position,” said Nancy Molder, vice president of educational services at ACCEL. “Coupled with her professional associations and volunteer work, she is a huge asset to our team.”

Dr. Cisar is a Scottsdale resident.
