Cave Creek school district selects 1st holiday art winner

Allaina Taylor, a sixth-grade student at Lone Mountain Elementary, has won the first Cave Creek Unified School District Holiday Art Contest.

All CCUSD elementary schools were asked to submit their top three contenders for the competition.

A committee at the district office reviewed the entries and chose the winner.

The winner’s submission will be the electronic Winter Holiday Art Card for the district.

Other top contenders in the contest were: Chase Bemis, Lena Scherling and Jane Massoff, Black Mountain Elementary School; Lillian Jouas, Jazlynn Veit and Megan Swansiger, Desert Sun Academy; Angelina Nguyen, Maya Francis and Lucia Fleming, Desert Willow Elementary School; and Katlin Thomas and Matthew Borso, Lone Mountain Elementary School.
