Chaparral High School JV Pom team captures national title

 

The Chaparral High School JV Pom team captured the national title for JV Pom Jan. 31 at the Universal Dance Association National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Fla.

The 14-member pom team competed against 16 other teams from across the country.

The competition was held Jan. 30-31 at The ESPN Sports Center Pavillion.
The team also grabbed fourth place for JV Jazz in a stiff competition with 17 other teams.

Sarah Owens coaches the winning team. JV Pom Team members include Rhianna Cain, Cheryl Crozier, Brenna Doyle, Sydney Golden, Sophia Moyer, Kylie Ohlson, Chloe Rosenbaum, Sophia Shapiro, Kylie Sherby, Jessica Stone, Chase Totherow, Maddie Wilde, Meredith Wondrasek, and Sophie Yoder.
