Denim Social sets the stage for Xavier Fashion Show and fundraiser

Xavier College Preparatory and Saks Fifth Avenue hosted a “Denim Social” Feb. 26 at Saks Fifth Avenue in Biltmore Fashion Park to officially kick off the upcoming Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show.

Xavier students, parents, and friends were treated to fashion, hair and makeup applications, festive food from Zinburger, and a lot of fun. Saks Fifth Avenue generously donated 10
percent of all sale proceeds from the event to Xavier student scholarships.

This year’s Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show was held Sunday, March 15 at The Phoenician.

The event included a social followed by a luncheon and fashion show.

Saks Fifth Avenue models showcased spring fashions, and more than 300 students from the Xavier/Brophy Class of 2015 will took their turns on the runway.

The theme was “Tapestry” in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the plaid uniform skirt that Xavier introduced in 1965. Event chairwomen were Xavier parents Susan Doria and April Ward.

All proceeds will benefit the more than 40 percent of Xavier students who receive financial assistance.
