Notre Dame Prep signs with Nike, Lids Team Sports

Students at Notre Dame Preparatory will be sporting new styles from head-to-toe this fall thanks to a four-year sponsorship agreement with Nike and Lids Team Sports.

notre dameNike will be the exclusive supplier of athletic uniforms, sports footwear, apparel and equipment beginning with the 2015-16 school year, according to a press release. Nike will also provide NDP school uniform shirts.

Through the sponsorship agreement, Nike will contribute to NDP’s general scholarship fund and to the school’s athletic scholarship fund, according to the release. The partnership with Nike, signed May 31, is the first exclusive contract of its type for the 13-year-old college preparatory high school in north Scottsdale.

“This is a very exciting partnership for Notre Dame Prep,” NDP Principal Jim Gmelich stated in the NDP release. “We have worked diligently and thoughtfully to create opportunities to partner with organizations that share our goal of bringing excellence to our community in all we do. Our agreement with Nike is the first of many partnerships that will serve the NDP community well.”

Nike is the leader in sports outfitting and has signed similar partnerships with colleges and other high schools.

“Nike is happy to be working with the athletes and coaches of Notre Dame Prep. Nike’s mission is to bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete,” Ralph E. Greene, Jr., vice president of business development for Nike, stated in the NDP release.
