AZ-NV 040715 MarsdenBenjaminFor his essay, Benjamin chose to write about his older brother Oliver, a junior at PCDS, helped him find the courage to thrive in a new school environment. His story contained familiar themes of nerves surrounding a new environment and was also a testament to the power of brotherly love, according to a press release.

Representatives from The Max Warburg Courage Curriculum wrote, “Benjamin has been chosen from hundreds of submissions as an honorable mention. His essay will be published alongside students from Boston and as far away as Pakistan in the 24th volume of “The Courage of Children.” Benjamin’s story is so inspiring, and makes a truly special addition to this year’s collection.”
