Scottsdale Community College will pay tribute to veterans and current military members as part of its Veterans Day celebration Tuesday, Nov. 10.

In the morning, veterans will be honored during a ceremony at Two Waters Circle. It begins at 10:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.

The ceremony is open to the public and free to attend.

At 12 p.m., the SCC Veterans Services office presents “Telling Our Stories,” which will feature veterans sharing their experiences. It will be in the Turquoise Room. This portion of the celebration is not open to the public.

Last year, SCC was named to the annual Military Friendly School list by GI Jobs magazine and also holds the distinction as a Military Supportive Campus from the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, according to a press release.

SCC is located at 9000 E. Chaparral Road in Scottsdale. For a campus map, go to http://bit.ly/1eQk5m0.

The Scottsdale Independent is published monthly and mailed to 75,000 homes and businesses in Scottsdale.
