Scottsdale Kids Club to host toy drive to benefit PCH

Scottsdale Unified School District Community Education Kids Club will host a toy drive to benefit children at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Dec. 7-17.

The school district invites the community to become involved in this toy drive by donating new unwrapped toys to the Community Education office, 8500 E. Jackrabbit Road in Scottsdale, or at any participating Kids Club location.

Toys will be delivered to Phoenix Children’s Hospital Dec. 18, according to a press release. The toys will benefit children ages 0-17.

Suggested toys include: infant and toddler toys, dolls and tea sets, light-up toys, cars and trucks, Lego and Tinkertoys, K’nex and Nerf toys, family baord games, puzzles, remote control toys, hair and jewelry items or arts and crafts.

Kids Club is a licensed before and after-school program held at participating SUSD schools and is administered by the SUSD Community Education office. Students participate in activities including arts and crafts, active group games, sports, team-building exercises, science and technology and supervised homework time.

Each December students participate in a toy drive to benefit youth at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the release stated.
