Scottsdale Schools to host middle school winter sports fest

Scottsdale Unified School District’s middle school sports teams will all participate in the winter sports festival beginning 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.

More than 1,000 student athletes will compete in soccer, girls softball and boys basketball tournaments throughout the District. The public is invited to attend and support SUSD’s student athletes.

The events include:

  • Girls softball will be held at Horizon Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Girls soccer will be held at Coronado High School from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Boys soccer will be held at Saguaro High School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • 6th grade boys basketball will be held at Saguaro High School from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • 7th grade boys basketball will be held at Chaparral from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • 8th grade boys basketball will be held at Coronado from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saguaro High School is located 6250 N. 82nd St.; Chaparral High School is located 6935 E. Gold Dust Ave.; Coronado High School is located 7501 E. Virginia Ave.; Horizon Park is located 15444 N. 100th St.
