Scottsdale student earns spot on maritime academy Dean’s List

Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine, recently announced its spring graduates and named 367 students to its Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement in the second semester of the 2014-15 academic year.

Students named to the Dean’s List earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.

One student from Arizona — a Scottsdale resident — earned a place on the Dean’s List: Seamus Leavy who is majoring in vessel operations and technology.

Maine Maritime Academy is a co-educational, public college on the coast of Maine offering 18 degree programs in engineering, management, science, and transportation.
