“I look forward to a year of shared commitment to fostering a culture of success throughout the Scottsdale Unified School District. Leadership will require a heightened focus on the ‘people’ aspects of our primary purpose, while also maintaining vigilance toward our available resources. It is my honor and privilege to be a small part of such an important part of our society and the future of our children,” said Mrs. Sneed in a prepared statement.

Mr. Jackson expressed a similar sentiment.

“It is a real privilege to serve on the Governing Board for the Scottsdale Unified School District. As a parent of SUSD students, I am continually impressed with the quality of education my children receive in Scottsdale. The Scottsdale Unified School District provides our community with safe, high performing schools and I am very proud to be associated with this outstanding public school district,” said Mr. Jackson.

This is the third time that Mrs. Sneed has served as president of the governing board, and the first time that Mr. Jackson has served as vice president. Reorganization of the governing board occurs once a year at the first meeting in January.
