The Elias M. Romley Xavier Mock Trial Team captured its seventh state championship in Xavier College Preparatory’s history and its second victory in the past four years.

The “Xavier North” squad won the state title, “Xavier East” placed third, and “Xavier South” placed fourth at the Arizona High School Mock Trial State Tournament March 28 at the Sandra Day O’Connor Federal Courthouse in downtown Phoenix.

Xavier senior Lee McMahon won individual first place honors, senior
Jackie Edmonds placed second, and senior Aubrey Hills and junior Katherine Milano tied for third.

Aubrey Hills was unanimously awarded the Justice Michael Ryan Award for Outstanding Attorney, and senior Cecilia Ramey won the top prize in the State Mock Trial Court Room Artist Contest.
