Scottsdale Bible Church hosts 9th annual Winter Wonder shows

For the ninth year, Scottsdale Bible Church will host nine performances of Winter Wonder, an annual Christmas tradition.

Featuring a cast of more than 300, shows include humorous sketches, dramatic dance numbers, Broadway-style music and lights, a full choir and orchestra, plus a live nativity with animals, according to a press release.

Describing how proceeds fund projects to help kids in the community, SBC has hosted assemblies, given computers and provided Christmas gifts to the kids and teachers at all seven Title 1 schools in Scottsdale, among other projects, the release said.

Noting the partnership for the fourth year with Healthy Packs and Concerned Citizens for Community Health, SBC provides a $4-6 pack of nutritious food for children experiencing weekend hunger.

“Through all these efforts, our vision is to share Christ’s love and build lasting relationships with organizations who are helping kids in our community,” SBC Senior Pastor Jamie Rasmussen said in a prepared statement.

In addition to supporting the program at all Title 1 schools in Scottsdale, as well as Larkspur Elementary in Phoenix, SBC works with AZ Helping Hands to provide hundreds of beds for kids in foster care, and works with MentorKids USA to support community programs for at-risk kids.

Tickets are available at winterwonder.org.
