Scottsdale students perform ‘Romeo and Juliet’ under the stars

Chaparral High School’s award-winning Theater Company presents “Romeo and Juliet,” William Shakespeare’s most popular romantic tragedy April 13-15 at its new outdoor amphitheater in Scottsdale.

In this captivating story of two star-crossed lovers caught between their feuding families, the production stays true to the play’s traditional time period/setting while an eclectic 80s soundtrack offers a fresh spin on an old classic, according to a press release.

The community is invited to experience all the beauty, passion, and timeless conflict of Romeo and Juliet in Chaparral’s brand new outdoor amphitheater, where it will be love under the stars.

Performances are at 7 p.m. on April 13, 14, 15 at Chaparral High School, 6935 E. Gold Dust Ave. in Scottsdale. Tickets are $10 to the general public or $8 with Chaparral student ID card. Appropriate for all ages. Tickets can be purchased at the Chaparral High School bookstore as well as at the door on the evening of each performance.
