VOS Active 20-30 Club, Florence Crittenton reach partnership milestone

Female empowerment and women supporting each other is the sentiment of Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club and Florence Crittenton.

The two organizations pride themselves on “girl power and building women up,” according to a press release, noting the 30-year partnership between the two organizations through a grant process that has contributed to an unbreakable bond.

VOS, the Phoenix women’s chapter of Active 20-30 International, is a philanthropic organization of 75 professional women ages 21-39 who are committed to fundraising for and participating in hands-on activities with local children’s charities through their 501c3, the Valley Kids Foundation.

Since the club’s inception, more than $2M has been raised along with hundreds of thousands of hours volunteered for children’s non-profits in the Valley, including Florence Crittenton. The Florence Crittenton organization was VOS’s first beneficiary and has remained with them each year.

“Florence Crittenton is grateful for the partnership we have shared with VOS over the last three decades,” said Dr. Kellie Warren, Chief executive officer of Florence Crittenton, in a prepared statement. “The club’s unwavering commitment to helping our agency fulfill its mission has impacted countless girls, young women and their children in Arizona.”

She agreed that the partnership has improved and looks forward to a long-lasting relationship, including facilitating events such as Tools & Rules, which is a professional development and life skills workshop organized by the ladies of VOS.

The partnership between VOS and Florence Crittenton has been a staple for both organizations as their missions intertwined, the release added of the partnership that encourages and supports females in the community.
