The highlight of the evening, and a new feature of the Ball in 2016, will be the announcement of Arizona Broadway Theatre’s Season 12 Mainstage shows.

The evening will kick off at 6 p.m. with an intimate cocktail hour in the theatre’s lobby followed by a three-course meal created by ABT Executive Chef Jon Mortimer.

Some of the area’s leading names in philanthropic support are this year’s sponsors, including “Tony Award” level and Season 11 sponsor Arrowhead Cadillac and “42nd Street” level sponsor Arizona Coyotes.

“It is incredibly important we continue to raise awareness within our community about why arts funding is so crucial and what financial support can do to impact lives through the power of the performing arts,” said Ellen Versen, development director at Arizona Broadway Theatre and chair of this year’s ball.

“ABT hopes to impact generations through its programs, and now is an important time for Arizonans to step forward in support of the state’s performing arts efforts.”

Silent and live auctions, raffle opportunities and a wine pull will offer friendly rivalry among guests as they bid on one-of-a-kind items. The live auction will feature a chef-prepared meal for eight prepared in the winner’s home, cooking classes in the ABT kitchen, a Shrek birthday party for 10 children, rock ‘n’ roll experiences, and “Golf for a Year!”

The evening will include live entertainment representative of Arizona Broadway Theatre’s Mainstage and children’s programming. An after-party will feature music by the AZ Swing Kings.

Individual tickets are $150. For more information on ABT and donation opportunities, visit azbroadway.org or call the ABT Development Office at 623-707-8842.
