Arizona Vegetarian Food Fest returns to Scottsdale this weekend

Achieve those New Year’s resolutions this January at the Arizona Vegetarian Food Festival on Jan. 9 and 10 in Scottsdale.

The second annual Arizona Vegetarian Food Festival returns this January for its second celebration. The event will be hosted by the U.S. Veg Corp and will benefit Mercy for Animals, according to a press release.

az-vegetarian-festival-300x200The 2016 festival will be this Saturday and Sunday at Scottsdale Civic Center Amphitheater, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd. in Scottsdale.

The event will feature a range of speakers including Mike Wolf, investigations manager of Compassion Over Killing; Ellen Jaffe Jones, author of “Paleo Vegan: Plant-Based Primal Recipes” and many more.

The event will also feature more than 50 local and national vendors including Green Living magazine, Sparky’s Cantina, Mustache Pretzels and many more, the release stated. There will also be chefs and speakers to provide guidance on how to live a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle and how to change your diet in 2016.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and single-day admission is $20; weekend VIP admission is $50.
