Butterfly Wonderland is to host a workshop on attracting butterflies to your own garden on Sept. 24.

The workshop is to be taught by Butterfly Wonderland’s Director of Education, Adriane Grimaldi, and teach attendees the elements needed to start attracting butterflies to their yards. Butterfly Wonderland is at 9500 E. Via de Ventura in Scottsdale.

The workshop will cover topics such as what dirt to use and what nectar plants to plan.

Ms. Grimaldi has built her own butterfly garden that has attracted 30 different species of butterflies, according to a press release, and her backyard as been listed as a National Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.

The workshop is to be 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 24. Cost is $15 for those with Founder’s Memberships or annual passes and $20 for the general public. Proceeds benefit the Butterfly Wonderland Foundation, stated the release.
