Butterfly Wonderland hosts two-day plant sale, March 14-15

The two-day plant sale at Butterfly Wonderland March 14-15 will feature bee-, hummingbird- and butterfly-friendly plants such as milkweed.

The two-day plant sale at Butterfly Wonderland March 14-15 will feature bee-, hummingbird- and butterfly-friendly plants such as milkweed.

Butterfly Wonderland will bring back its plant sale 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 14-15 in the facility’s courtyard, 9500 E. Via de Ventura, Scottsdale.

The sale will feature bee-, hummingbird- and butterfly-friendly plants such as milkweed.  Prices range from $6.95 to $19.95 and all proceeds benefit the Butterfly Wonderland Foundation.

In addition, educational tables will be set up to provide information. Organizations expected to be on hand include: Southwest Monarch Study demonstrating to guests how to tag Monarch butterflies; the Hummingbird Society, the AZ Queen Bee featuring honey samples; the Central AZ Butterfly Association and others.

In addition, The Master Gardeners from the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Office will be present and Butterfly Wonderland volunteers to help answer plant questions.

Admission to the sale is free.
