Butterfly Wonderland presents adults-only ‘Bug Love Workshop’

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Butterfly Wonderland hosts a workshop where guests can learn all about how butterflies mate.

Butterfly Wonderland hosts a workshop where guests can learn all about how butterflies mate.

From their graceful courtship dancing and powerful pheromones they omit to the aggressive tactics they use in some butterfly species.

The workshop takes place 6-8 p.m. Feb. 13 at Butterfly Wonderland, 9500 E. Via de Ventura, Scottsdale.

Guests will also learn about the other mating rituals of Honey Bees, the Tiger Oscars Aquatic Fish and the Sea of Cortez Stingrays as well as the significant role they play in culture, medicine, technology, research and more.

The class will end with a special “treat” featuring a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit, marshmallows, pretzels and crickets and mealworms.

 Cost is $25 for couples with Founder’s Memberships/Annual Pass holders and $35 for couples in general public plus 7.95 percent tax. The class is open only to adults.

Proceeds benefit the Butterfly Wonderland Foundation.
