Butterfly Wonderland to offer “cell-phone photography class”

Guests are invited to Butterfly Wonderland 8:30-11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, for a cell phone photography class taught by photographer, Paul Valach.

Mr. Valach will teach students how to take better pictures with their cell phone cameras as well as offer tips for the best settings to use as well as new apps for iPhone users to enhance butterfly photographs.

Guests will end their class photographing in the conservatory.

Mr. Valach is a photographer, educator and social media guru, according to a press release. He has been photographing for the past 40 years. He shoots with a Nikon D200 but also uses his iPhone 5s for quick shots and movies, stated the release.

He will give secrets to new apps that are out there for iPhone users. Guests must bring their cell phones to participate and all cell phones must have at least 700mb of space for taking photos, stated the relase.

The cost is $15 for Founder’s and Annual Pass Holders and $20 for general public. Pre-registration required. Class size limited to 20, according to the release.
