The Chalk Art Festival will be transforming three valley locations on Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. into a street-art gallery.

More than 25 mural artists will be participating in the festival presented by Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance.

The festival will be at Desert Ridge Marketplace, 21001 N. Tatum Blvd.; Tempe Marketplace, 2000 E. Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe; and the Westgate Entertainment District, 6751 N. Sunset Blvd. in Glendale. Admission is free.

The public can also grab chalk and create their own masterpiece or simply watch as professional artists create 8-foot murals in a variety of themes.

The large-scale murals will be on view at all three locations from April 18-30.
