Christ the Lord Lutheran Church hosts ‘Piano & Pipes’ concert

Piano and pipe organ music will be combined in a concert 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 9205 E. Cave Creek Road, Carefree.

The concert, “Piano & Pipes,” featuring Barbara Aldrich, organist, and Jill Nelles Voss, pianist, is part of the church’s Living Music Performance Series.

The program will include sacred and secular music arranged for the piano and organ by composers such as J. S. Bach and John Rutter, and arrangements by Mark Hayes and John Innes.

Ms. Aldrich was recently retired as director of music at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church. She served the congregation for 10 years as organist and director of the Chorale, and planned the worship services.

Ms. Nelles has been accompanist at Christ the Lord since 1997. She previously served as accompanist at Ascension Lutheran Church in Paradise Valley. She has a full-time position as underwriting operations director at a local insurance
company.
