D-backs welcome 1 millionth fan at Scottsdale’s Salt River Fields

The Arizona Diamondbacks welcomed the one millionth the gates at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on March 18.

The millionth D-backs fan, David Fried and family, was welcomed by D-backs Legend Luis Gonzalez, D-backs Executive Vice President Cullen Maxey and Salt River Fields General Manager Dave Dunne before the D-backs vs. Dodgers game.

The Fried family received a D-backs jersey and season tickets for the 2017 Spring Training season at Salt River Fields.

In 2013, Salt River Fields passed the one-million attendance mark for all events held at the complex that includes fans for both D-backs and Colorado Rockies Spring Training games as well as events such as concerts and festivals, according to a press release.

The award-winning facility, now in its sixth season, has had more than 100 sellouts since 2011.
