Fifth annual Cars for Charity show to be Oct. 24

Our Lady of Joy Church and the Knights of Columbus announce their fifth annual car show “Cars for Charity.

It will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the church parking lot located at 36811 N. Pima Road in Carefree. Admission is free for the public, according to a press release.

The Cars for Charity show will have an estimated 150 participants entering everything from Hot Rods, antique Ford Model T’s to modern day Corvettes, Ferraris, Maserati, Muscle cars and Customs, stated the release.

There will be plenty of awards in each class. The first 100 entries will receive a free t-shirt and goodie bag, stated the release. A few examples of award categories are Best in Show, Best in Class, Pastor’s Choice and a Men’s and Women’s People’s Choice.

There will be raffles, 50/50 drawings, food, and shopping for the whole family. Proceeds from Cars for Charity will benefit various Church and Knight’s Charities, stated the release.

Vendors selling car accessories and services, as well as specialty items for the whole family will be on site. Several local auto dealer sponsors will have cars on display, the release stated.
