Fountain Hills Youth Theater to stage Disney’s ‘Aladdin Jr.’

All of the favorite characters from the hit Disney film, “Aladdin” — Jasmine, Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more – take center stage in a musical adventure presented this month by Fountain Hills Youth Theater.

Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.” will be presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International Sept. 25-Oct. 11 at Fountain Hills Theater, 11445 N. Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills.

The production features an Academy award-winning score, with songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, including “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me.”

“Aladdin Jr.” is produced by Anne Kelleher and directed by Ross Collins, with musical direction by Jay Melberg, choreography by Noël Irick and costume design by Mickey Courtney.

The cast includes Zach Acridge, Vanessa Barajas, Sarah Brown, Hunter DiGrazia, Steven Enriquez, Mikayla Glancy, Sebastian Harris-Wylde, Colette Hayko, Alexandra Hurney, Luke Hurney, Connor Klein, Iris Lochner, Kendall Luther, Katie Male, Makenzie Marino, Sierra McDaniel, Victoria Pond, Tabitha Schoenwolf, Matthew Steward, Gabby Tornabene, Isabella Valdivieso, Rachel Walters and David Woods.

Performances are held 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. For tickets call the Box Office at 480-837-9661, Ext. 3.

Regular ticket prices are $15 for youth 17 and under and $18 for adults. Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.” is presented through special arrangement with MTI Broadway Junior Collection.
