One of football’s most electrifying players, Larry Fitzgerald, may stack up the pro football records year after year, but even Fitzgerald will admit he does have one handicap, and that’s in his golf game.

Come on out this spring to help Fitzgerald with his swing by supporting the Larry Fitzgerald Charity Classic on Friday, April 22.

The golf tournament comes as an addition to Larry’s philanthropic weekend which consists of his flagship Sixth Annual Double Play Celebrity Softball Game and Double Play VIP-After Party at the W Scottsdale all in support of the First Down Fund.

Held at the Talking Stick Golf Club, the private tournament gives golf enthusiasts and charitable supporters alike the opportunity to host their clients or friends to a golf experience unlike any other. Each foursome will not only experience a great day of golf for a cause but will be hosted by one of Larry’s celebrity friends or the man himself.

“I’m excited to combine my love of golf with my passion for philanthropy,” stated Fitzgerald in a press release. “What we have accomplished together through the First Down Fund is really something for the whole community to be proud of and I am so grateful to everyone who has supported our initiatives.”

The draft party will kick off the tournament for golf participants and sponsors on Thursday, April 21 on the rooftop atDominick’s Steakhouse. In addition to the draft “pairings” to match up players for the following day, everyone will be treated to cocktails and appetizers at Dominick’s Steakhouse, one of Larry’s favorite spots. This cocktail reception will kick off the weekend of fun and philanthropy in support of the Larry Fitzgerald First Down Fund.

“We are excited to partner with Larry on this event and honored he reached out to us again. This is a special evening and great cause and we want to do what we can to ensure more money goes towards those in need,” stated Jeffrey Mastro, CEO of Dominick’s Steakhouse, in the release.

The title sponsor of the event, Rolls Royce Motor Cars Scottsdale is another brand that is honored to be associated with Fitzgerald and his philanthropic endeavors.

“Rolls Royce Motor Cars Scottsdale is proud to continue their relationship with Cardinal’s wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald as title sponsor of his upcoming Charity Classic. Larry raises funds to help many worthy organizations, we are honored to be part of the impact he is making,” stated Beli Merdovic, general manager of Rolls Royce Motor Cars Scottsdale, in the release.

Since 2005, The Larry Fitzgerald First Down Fund has been supporting kids and their families with significant gifts of time, money and special resources through numerous associations across our country, funds raised this weekend will allow us to continue this tradition.
