Haunting play, ‘The Weir’ to open in Scottsdale Feb. 26

 

The Theatre Artists Studio announces its newest haunting production of “The Weir” by Conor McPherson opening in Scottsdale Feb. 26.

In a remote country pub in Ireland, newcomer Valerie arrives and becomes spellbound by an evening of ghostly stories told by the local bachelors who drink there. What starts out as blarney, however, soon turns dark as the tales drift into the realm of the supernatural.

Cast includes Michael Fleck, Brad Allen, Tom Koelbel, Amanda Melby, Steven Fajardo and is directed by Carol MacLeod.

The Theatre Artists Studio, 4848 E. Cactus Road, suite 406 in Scottsdale, will be showing the play 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; and 2 p.m. on Sundays, Feb. 26-March 13,

Tickets are to be $10 for students ages 25 and under; $15 for groups of 10 or more, seniors ages 65 years and older, and members of the military. General admission is to be $20.
