Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will present outdoor concerts in Scottsdale Civic Center Amphitheater with country star Jo Dee Messina on Friday, April 3, and bluegrass sensation Dailey & Vincent on Friday, April 24.

Both concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Fiercely independent, outspoken and driven, Jo Dee Messina debuted in 1996 with the hit single “Heads Carolina, Tails California.” She has since charted nine No. 1 singles and 16 Top 40 singles, selling more than 5 million records worldwide.

With its title “ME” chosen by fans, Messina’s newest album – released in 2014 – marks her most personal one to date. She wrote or co-wrote many of the songs on the album, which her fans helped make happen through a highly successful campaign on the crowd-funding website Kickstarter.com.

Dubbed by CMT as the “Rockstars of Bluegrass,” the Dailey & Vincent duo has been hailed throughout the music industry as one of the most exciting, reputable and elite bluegrass bands in America. They have received numerous honors for their uniquely contagious and riveting music, including three Grammy nominations and 14 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards.

Prior to forming the duo in 2007, both Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent were already seasoned veterans in the bluegrass world, having garnered great personal success. A four-time IBMA “Vocalist of the Year” Award winner, Dailey sang and performed with groups such as Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.
