‘Journey to Hope’ event to raise funds for church ministry

The Bridge to Hope will sponsor its annual fund-raising dinner and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, 6300 E. Bell Road in Scottsdale.

Titled “The Journey to Hope,” the free event raises funds for an inter-church ministry that provides transitional housing to homeless single women and their children, according to a press release.

The Bridge to Hope received its nonprofit status in November 2011, and so far has served 16 mothers and their children

Participating churches include La Casa de Cristo, Bethany Bible Church, First Southern Baptist Church and Faith Bible Church.

The dinner is sponsored by the Matthew 25 Project. The community is welcome.
