The first performance will be at 7 p.m. Friday, March 27, at PVUMC, 4455 E. Lincoln Drive, and the second at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at La Casa de Cristo, 6300 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale.

Composer Bob Chilcott (born 1955) is one of the United Kingdom’s most prolific and creative choral composers. Chilcott’s “Requiem” is characterized by a gentle, forgiving atmosphere clearly modeled on Fauré’s “Requiem,” with a crystalline, reflective Pie Jesu for solo soprano at the emotional heart of the work.

Both concerts are free; free-will offerings will be received.
