MCSO, Special Olympics to host TopGolf tournament

Sheriff Joe Arpaio invites all interested members of the public to participate in the first MCSO TopGolf Tournament for Special Olympics Arizona.

The event is to place on Sunday, Oct. 11, at TopGolf Scottsdale at Riverwalk, 9500 E. Indian Bend Road in Scottsdale.

Registration is $75 in advance and $85 at the door, according to a press release. Check-in time for the tournament is 6 p.m., and a buffet is to be included for participants.

“We support these special athletes in fulfilling their dreams of competing and performing beyond their own expectations,” stated Sheriff Arpaio in the release. “They really have a wonderful life to live and competition is just a small part of that. The true winners never give up. And all of them are winners for that reason.”

Players will be awarded prizes for various contests within the tournament including: Closet to Pin, Best Team Score, Worst Team Score, Best Individual Score. Each team will consist of 6 members.
