Mountain View Presbyterian Church hosts annual sale

Mountain View Presbyterian Church has announced the dates for their annual rummage sale.

The sale is to take place 7 a.m.-4 p.m. on Friday, March 11 and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, at the church campus, 8050 E. Mountain View Road in Scottsdale.

The event recycles hundreds of gently used items from clothing to house wares, jewelry to appliances, artwork to furniture, sports equipment, antiques and much more that fill the inside and exterior of nearly every area of the church campus. Volunteers spend the week prior to the sale collecting, sorting and carefully arranging items into over 20 departments, according to a press release.

Collection of donated items will begin on Friday, March 4, when donors may drop off items at the church. For large items, donors may contact Bill Franquemont at 480-363-4532 to arrange for pick up. Donation receipts will be available for tax purposes.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit Mountain View Presbyterian Women’s Ministry Outreach Program which includes US Veterans Initiative, Homeless ID Project, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Bunia Children’s Hope Center, Shoebox Ministry, UMOM, DUCK, Oraphanage Steps of Love and may others.

The sale, held annually since the 1980s, has raised over $500,000 for distribution to local regional and foreign missions, the release stated.
