Scottsdale Community College theater to present ‘Kill Will’

Scottsdale School of Film+Theatre at Scottsdale Community College presents “Kill Will: Fast & Furious Fight Scenes from Shakespeare (and others)” Oct. 16-17 and Oct. 23-24 in the school’s Performing Arts Center.

Created and directed by Theatre Arts Director Randy Messersmith, this original, fast-paced performance will showcase the Bard’s best comedic and dramatic scenes in fight sequences featuring Scottsdale Community College’s most athletic actors. Scenes from “Hamlet,” “Macbeth,” “Comedy of Errors,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and a few other surprises will be featured, according to a press release.

The original, world premiere play follows a girl, Animus, and her video game character Sargon, which comes to life to instruct her in the nature and dangers of violence. The show will be sure to awaken the swashbuckler in all of us! Please note the performances will contain violent images.

Tickets are free and open to the public with a reservation at Showtimes will be 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16, Oct. 17 and Oct. 23. A 2 p.m. matinee will be shown on Oct. 17 and Oct. 24.
